Black masterbatch is produced with carbon black. Here we mainly analyze the factors that determine the quality of black masterbatch for you, as follows:
1. Dispersion: carbon black is a very difficult and dirty mixture, which is dusty, light and fluffy. Unless treated on a large scale, it will pollute machines and workers and make the working environment dirty.
2. Coverage: This factor is particularly important for masterbatch used for waste or recycled polymer. In these cases, the black effect is to cover other colors in the scrap. Large particles of carbon black have poor coloring ability and are not easy to cover other colors in the lower layer, which only deviates from the product. In the melting process, the ability to correctly select carbon black with strong coloring ability to cover the existing color is called hiding power;
3. Rheology: If the masterbatch itself has good dispersibility, but cannot flow into the materials to be formed, the production effect is not ideal. In general, primers used to produce masterbatches have high rheological properties. In order to save costs, some master batch manufacturers use recycled materials, waste materials or recycled materials as resin carriers;
4. Compatibility: If the master batch is made of scraps or recycled materials, it may contain pollutants or other immiscible polymers. This will lead to some unpredictable and uncontrollable waste, wasting consumers' time and raw materials. At this time, the base resin can be used to produce high-quality masterbatch, and the masterbatch has good compatibility in the melting process. LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, SAN, PA and other materials can be used to produce high-quality masterbatches;
5. Stability: Under the current international economic situation, international customers have high requirements on the quality of masterbatch and the stability of raw materials. This is also the fifth factor determining the quality of black masterbatch. Smooth carbon black ratio is one of the main manifestations of stability. If the percentage of carbon black fluctuates, the quantity of masterbatch to be melted is different, and it is impossible to produce products of the same color;
6. Color light: There are various kinds of carbon black on the market that can be used to color masterbatch, but each color and price are also very different. Large particle carbon black has lower coloring degree and different background color than small particle carbon black. Large black masterbatch is suitable for film production, such as garbage bags, but not for making beautiful products, such as television signs or places requiring ultraviolet protection, such as agricultural films or external pipes.
